Last month we launched e-alifood.com, a new digital touchpoint for food professionals and international buyers alike. Considering the quick acceleration of the digitalization process – boosted by the Covid-19 pandemic – and new emerging market trends, we transformed our offline customer-centered approach into an online shopper experience that is truly unique.
We still offer the best selection of top-quality Italian food products to international buyers all over the world; yet this online solution has allowed us to add a new tool to the ecosystem of services we already provide, in order to make our worldwide clients more autonomous about what to buy, when they want.
The selection is a fast and simple process as products are easy to find; exhaustive information is provided for them all and constantly updated. The wide range of products that can now be purchased online includes all those foods that could not be previously shipped to faraway countries because of their limited shelf-life. Moreover, in order to guarantee a flexible and sustainable use of them – that can preserve their organoleptic properties and reduce food waste – they are available also in smaller packaging.
The basket is set to accept mixed orders which can be highly customized by the clients themselves. They can also simulate diverse scenarios, that show them in advance different shipment costs depending on the destination, and select among a range of payment methods their preferred one. All the orders placed online are verified by our personnel and integrated with our ERP system, so that they can be treated with the same attention and care of the offline ones. Our improved back-office technology allows us to offer also precise tracking and tracing information and guaranteed delivery on a set date.
